Frequently Asked Questions

What is Wow Factor Illinois?

Wow Factor Illinois is part of a nationally recognized travel baseball program focused on player development, exposure, and high-level competition. We provide elite training, competitive schedules, and college recruiting opportunities for athletes across the region.

What is the typical roster size?

Each team carries 12–13 position players and 3–4 pitcher only players. This ensures meaningful reps, development, and game experience for every athlete.

What is the season commitment?

Peoria and Quad Cities teams will compete in both Fall 2025 and Summer 2026. Illinois players typically continue into spring and summer, while Iowa players are primarily focused on fall and winter development.

Who will coach the teams?

Coaching assignments are being finalized and will be announced shortly after tryouts. Every high school team will be led by experienced coaches who align with our player development and recruiting philosophy.

What does the schedule and training look like?

Fall teams begin training in mid to late August with weekend events running through September and October. Summer teams start training during the winter, with tournament and showcase play beginning in June and July. Players will be able to train in the Quad Cities or Peoria area.

What types of tournaments will the teams attend?

We plan to attend a mix of regional and college exposure events, including PG (Perfect Game), PBR (Prep Baseball Report), and Primetime tournaments. We also host a showcase weekend to promote players directly to college coaches.

What is the goal of the program moving forward?

Our goal is to strengthen both the Peoria and QC hubs by offering top development and exposure opportunities while avoiding internal competition for players. By working together, we can build stronger, more competitive teams and provide a better overall experience for families.
